General Practice
General Practice in medicine is comprehensive medical care, regardless of age, and involves treating any and all individuals for basic and common medical problems and providing definitive care for those problems. General Practice also involves managing chronic medical conditions and medications, including those evaluated and treated by a specialist but which require long term monitoring. Examples include treating patients for disease processes such as viral infections, common bacterial infections such as Strep Throat, urinary tract infections, arthritis and other illnesses of that nature.
In addition, monitoring patients on medications for depression and anxiety, hyperactivity and other mental health problems is a common function of the general practice physician. Our physicians provide high quality, individualized patient care in a compassionate and respectful environment and can provide medical care outside the behavioral spectrum of illness if required.
